Google Voice for Europe?
If you do not know what Google Voice is then you must be living under a rock.
Google voice is a service by the Google behemoth that allows you to make calls to any mobile or landline directly from your computer or mobile device. And its just gotten a massive upgrade which makes it available now in 38 languages including Portuguese, Turkish, Vietnamese and Serbian. Not to mention lower rates. AND more currencies including British Pounds and Euros.
This means that Google voice is going to be opening it’s doors to Europe in the very near future even though their website still says its not available for users outside of the U.S.
The minute that Google Voice is available in your country you will notice a little green phone icon show up at the top of your chat list and you’ll be ready to make calls if you have the voice and video plug-in installed. If not then you will need to install it before making use of Google Voice. The countries that get Google VOice will be able to make free calls to the U.S and canada for the rest of 2011
This is definitely going to hurt skype.
