Dolphins’ Wide Receiver Brandon Marshall blames Borderline Personality Disorder for his conduct
Borderline Personality disorder nearly sidelines star player
Dolphins’ wide receiver Brandon Marshall revealed that he has Borderline Personality Disorder and attributes his conduct to the disorder.
“Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) is an emotional disorder that causes emotional instability, leading to stress and other problems. With Borderline Personality Disorder your image of yourself is distorted, making you feel worthless and fundamentally flawed. Your anger, impulsivity and frequent mood swings may push others away, even though you desire loving relationships.”
The star player feels that his BPD mayhave started deteriorating soon after his rookie year in 2006 and since then things may have gone downhill for him, which may have been around the time Marshall’s good friend and teammate, Denver Broncos cornerback Darrant Williams, was shot New Year’s Day 2007 outside a Denver nightclub.
He has committed to undergo group and personal therapy in the hopes that he can strong back together his life and have a healthy career and marriage.
We wish him all the best.
